MyData Commons is a collection of citizens who are committed to achieving goals effectively through MyData. For these organizational activities to be sustainable, reasonable individuals, need a brand new mechanism that can lead to voluntary actions for the common good.

Because rational individuals will try to “ride free” when their interests are shared with others or make other people pay. However, if there is an optional incentive to “compensate those who contribute to collective action and punish those who do not contribute,” individuals can actively promote joint interests.

With that in mind, I’d like to shape MyData Commons. By default, MyData Commons is an open community with operational objectives similar to Creative Commons. As you know, voluntary nonprofit organizations claim to be superior to countries and markets in solving everyday problems caused by state control and privatization of resources. Creative works like Creative Commons patents and copyrights should be fully protected, but at the same time, they should make social and economic contributions by following some specified guidelines. MyData Commons’ activities should also contribute to promoting social well-being based on the right to self-determination of the processing of personal information.

Next, it is worth noting how information technology changes the world to operate MyData Commons organization effectively. The feature of today’s world is that modern technologies such as blockchain technology and edge computing help organizations become more decentralized and individuals become like more independent nodes on the network. As appointing the board of directors, for example, everyone can participate as a candidate for the board of directors, and that’s how all members decide through voting.

Finally, as an essential part, MyData Commons organizations must exercise superior power over individuals scattered through collective intelligence. It is necessary to cultivate Adaptive Intelligence within the organization to ensure that we make the right choice under rapidly changing conditions.
